Latest News And FeaturesStephen Merchant, the salt to Ricky Gervais' comedic genius pepper behind Extras and The Office, is introduced as the voice of Wheatley, a helpful worker robot in the upcoming Portal 2 - and he features heavily in this new trailer from Valve.
The trailer follows Wheatley and Chell as they make their way through a construction facility before finishing with a confrontation with an old friend - the humour demonstrated in the writing is exactly the kind of stuff that's made The Office, The Ricky Gervais Show Podcast and Extras a hit, so it's great to see in a game. Head to our videos library to watch the new trailer now, or download it from our files library to watch a HD version of it! Portal 2 is coming out February 9 2011 on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Mac.

Next week Richie (from The Benny & Richie Show and the world's worst Street Fighter player) and I will be heading out to Microsoft to talk to an as yet unnamed person from Lionhead Studios about Fable 3... and anything else you want to know about Lionhead Studios.
The unnamed person won't be Peter Molyneux so try to keep the questions sane and we'll try to get some sane answers for you! And if you're short of inspiration on the questions front, check out some of the videos for Fable 3 in our videos library like this one! I'm going to make sure we find out what the craziest request from Molyneux was in the game.
Fable 3 E3 2010 TrailerPosted: 15 Jun 10 | 678 views | 65.3MBThose hanging out for the ludicrous looking action of Sega's Vanquish will be able to abate their hunger with a demo for the game on September second, according to a press release from Sega earlier today. The demo will feature one level from the game (including a boss) and allow players to check out how the ARS battle suit from the game handles before it releases on October 22.
The demo is coming for both Xbox 360 and PS3 - and it's coming out two days (about a day, thanks to time zones) earlier in the states, so savvy PS3 owners should be able to jump the gun and grab the demo a little earlier. For the uninitiated, Vanquish is the newest game from the team at Platinum Games. You can check out some gameplay (and some of the ridiculous looking story) in our videos library - head on through and let us know what you think of how the game is shaping up!
Vanquish Gameplay Trailer #2Posted: 16 Aug 10 | 208 views | 90.4MBSquare Enix's robot shooter game will be available for Aussie Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on October 7 this year, a press release from Squeenix's Australian distributors announced today.
Front Mission Evolved isn't taking its title for granted - the game really is evolving from a hardcore turn-based tactical RPG and into a third person shooter. It's actually a little similar to what 2K is doing with its XCOM reimagining - because Front Mission Evolved comes out first it will be interesting to gauge the reactions of hardcore series fans... it might be similar to how XCOM fans will react... Both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 will score the newest DLC for the series, The Sacrifice, it was revealed on GameTrailers TV over the weekend.
Chet Faliszek from Valve appeared on the US based show to talk a little bit about the upcoming content pack - free on PC and Mac, but paid dlc on Xbox 360 - and the other big news is that Left 4 Dead 2 owners will score a special L4D2 version of No Mercy from Left 4 Dead! Of course, we feel compelled to warn users that the video on GameTrailers features images from the uncut version of Left 4 Dead 2 - though of course because you're not interacting with the video the bodies exploding into pieces of blood and gibs it's a lot safer for you to experience. GameTrailers TV (Metered Content) Wrestling fans unite - GameArena's got the first trailer for WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011, and it's a bit of a cracker. What it doesn't detail is what they're adding to this year's game - a brand new physics engine, a fantastic new dynamic game mode called WWE Universe and some very RPG-esque Road to Wrestlemania changes.
We'll have more details on all of those things a little later - until we can put up our Australian Exclusive preview though, take a look at the new Smackdown vs Raw 2011 trailer in our videos library!
WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 GamesCom 2010 TrailerPosted: 19 Aug 10 | 169 views | 175.3MBA week after the announcement of the ludicrously priced Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition comes this reasonably priced (comparatively speaking) Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Edition.
If a picture says a thousand words, this one says 'holy crap there's a remote control car' over and over. The wait is over. After three years of keeping people wondering what Irational Games has been working on since their uber hit BioShock, Ken Levine revealed the team has taken BioShock to the skies.
We attended the event, and now the embargo has lifted, we share our impressions. (Continues)
BioShock Infinite Debut Cinematic TrailerPosted: 13 Aug 10 | 1257 views | 141.4MBI tend to classify fighters into three different categories in my efforts to understand them better - short, normal and long. I’m worst at normal fighters - and I’m unstoppable at a few from the other two categories.
The short fighters (Bushido Blade, The Deadliest Warrior) are typically over in two or three hits - though if you time it right, they’re over in one. Each blow in a short fighter deals giant crab-esque massive damage, so the key to winning a short fighter isn’t mastering combos or special/ultra/finishing attacks - it’s all timing. Making the correct move at the correct time is pretty much the only way to win - there’s not really room for strategy when a spear through the face could happen at any time. The first Brink Developer Diary is a really good look not just into the story and plot behind Brink, but one into the maturity of the morality behind the game - where both sides think they're the in the right, and they might both be correct.
The background of The Ark is detailed in the video, and the motivations of both sides are examined. The game isn't out until fall next year - giving the devs plenty of time to deliver more of these excellent dev diaries. Watch the first one in our video library or download it to watch whenever from our files library. What do you think of the plot? It seems a bit weird that they'd make a city in the middle of the ocean for just 5000 people. Error: could not find a video with the given identifier.
