Warren Spector's latest project is due November this year, and the Epic Mickey opening cinematic has hit our video library - and it's available in HD from our files library!

The video details how the world in Epic Mickey came to exist - basically Mickey Mouse is a little homewrecker who can't keep his hands to himself. When he finds himself hovering over the art project of a wizard it's only natural that he should grab the paint brush and start painting stuff.

The days of taking your controllers around to a mates to play a game might be making a comeback - at least for a short while. The Goldeneye 007 Classic Edition bundle will feature an exclusive gold coloured version of the Classic Controller Pro - and you just know you're not going to leave it at home when people ask you to come around to play splitscreen.

The Weekly Update is here - Andy checks out two different types of Halo this episode - Halo 2600, an Atari-inspired version of the classic first person shooter (it's not a first person shooter). He also takes on Halo Reach, talking to Bungie's Joseph Tung. Kicking it super old school - even older than Atari 2600 - is real life! Who said it was easy dealing with celebrity talent?

Paintballer Greg hastings is a big enough deal to have had four games made with his name on the cover. The latest one is being put out by Majesco, but the first three were from Activision. And in an interview with games site Games Radar, Hasting's wasn't afraid to dump on his old benefactor:

Neil Patrick Harris will join Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes and Dan Gilvezan as the Spider-Men of Shattered Dimensions - Amazing, Ultimate, Noir and 2099 respectively. Stan Lee is voicing the narrator of the game.

All four Spidey actors have previously played the character in animated series' before - Dan Gilvezan in 1981's Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, Christopher Daniel Barnes in the 1994 Spider-Man, NPH in Spider-Man: The New Animated Series and Josh Keaton in 2008's The Spectacular Spider-Man.

The first reaction many had when they saw retired NBA superstar Michael Jordan - arguably the greatest player of all time - was appearing on the cover of 2K Sports' NBA2K11 was: "how will that work in-game?"

After all - depending on how closely you follow the NBA, Jordan played in two generational mentalities ago, being succeeded by the baggy shorts, streetball/get paid style espoused by Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant, and moving onto the current superteam ethos repped by the likes of MVP Lebron James.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter gets a rough time from gamers, mainly courtesy of his track record of wild predictions - predictions which more often than not turn out to be wrong. Now, with NPD reporting software sales for the US dropping for the fourth month in a row, Pachter has figured out the problem: online gaming.

Yes, little did you know that every minute online you spend shooting, racing, questing, puzzling, strategising or whatever you're actively contributing to the downfall of the games industry.

When Electronic Arts bought out a chunk of Ubisoft in late 2004, most assumed it was the precursor to the giant taking a serious run at taking over the French company. Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO described the move as "hostile" at the time, and analyst sages like Michael Pachter noted that EA wasn't normally in the business of making passive investments.

EA ultimately didn't make a serious run at Ubisoft beyond this investment. Now, they're out of the game, having reportedly sold its holdings in Ubisoft Entertainment SA.
