ever wondered what nintendo character is the best? the one that could beat all others? we have never had that chance since nintendo released its first smash bros game on the good ol n64. number one was awesome and it has continued through melee and now brawl.
players can now choose from a wide array of characters from nintendo and 2 newcomers sonic from sega and snake from playystations metal gear solid. all fighters have unique attacks and strategies and now with online play you can battle people online and show them just exacly what your made of.
the adventure mode is quite dull and repetative but if your a big fan of the origional super mario bros then youll have a great time but for me i was more interested in getting to the end and watching the storyline unfold rather.
the following may be taken as a good thing or a bad thing character unlocking. personally i found it dissapointing to find just how easy characters can be unlocked. you can just play a few 1 stock handicapped vs matches and unlock all under 500 matches or you could just finish the small adventure mode and unlock all but 2 characters in one quick run. the other 2 characters can be unlocked simply by walking through a door and defeating them through a door in adventure mode on any difficulty. this character unlocking was much different to melee and the origional version where players must finish specific tasks that were quite difficult at some times and offered up a challenge. in brawl players will unlock most through adventure mode known as sub-space emissionary where as a person playing melee wouldnt know if hidden characters even existed because of the requirements to unlock them ( unless your lame enough to search it on the internet =P.)
the only other let down of this game would have to be poor captain falcon getting his infamous knee smash reduced in knockback and harder to time impact and his speed no longer being the fastest in the game... we can thank sonic for that =P.
ending on a good note brawls cpu opponents have definatly become more of a challeng for they are no longer " stupid" and dont get caught behined walls in constant loop in trying to jump over them in one single jump whilst leaning back. people who played melee might recognise this usually ganondorf on the hyrule temple stage or luigis suicides on some stages using forward b instead of a needed up b.
Nintendo youve done us proud for this one a massive 100/10
