I'll admit it - I got this game solely because I was annoyed and the idea of paying for a game you can replicate with one hand and a friend seems really stupid. This review was supposed to be an easy way to vent out my frustrations, really.
Luckily for RPS, it's not the traditional game used for deciding who rides shotgun, or who has to do the dishes. It's a reinvention of classic board game Stratego - using Rock Paper Scissors conventions. This means that you can only see your own pieces, and the other sides pieces are hidden from you. Pieces on either side are only revealed when they've attacked or defended themselves - you then know what to attack with next if you want to win.
It's a great concept, and it's very easy to play. The strategy elements of the original board game remain thanks to the complex nature of the Rock>Scissors>Paper>Rock gameplay - there's a reason many hardcore Real Time Strategy games still rely on this even now.
The AI is quite simple, but you can play against other people when you want a challenge. The graphics are quite good as well, and it's a good addition to your mobile library.
