In this classic Capcom(R) platformer, players must battle through 14 high-flying levels and defeat Dr. Wily and his robotic henchmen. As Mega Man(R) defeats each of the eight robot masters he adds their unique signature weapon to his arsenal including the Metal Blade, Time-Stopper, Quick-Boomerang, Bubble Lead, Atomic Fire and Leaf Shield. Robot masters have weaknesses to the weapons of other robot masters, so obtaining the best weapon to use against a master becomes a vital component of the game play.

Fans of Mega Man games, fans of action games, fans of platformer games... fans of games in general should just pretend Mega Man 2 on the mobile never happened. It controls terribly, it sounds terrible, it looks... average and about the only thing going for it is "Hey, it's Mega Man".
The controls aren't just awkward, they're bad. The game needs a dedicated jump button on mobile but instead you're forced to rely on a using extra numbers like diagonal directions on a proper control pad. Unfortunately for MM2 this system absolutely doesn't work. It's difficult to judge distances properly and impossible to react on the fly if you get it wrong - jumping and attacking is almost a physical impossibility and overall the system is shot. What's worse is this is literally the first mobile game I've played where I witnessed visible slow-down - chug. The game would crawl to a snail's pace - sort of like playing in slow-motion, except instead of being Matrix cool it's painfully bad. It doesn't help the already poor controls at all. It's sad, because this game had a lot of potential. It's definitely difficult to see how a game like Mega Man 2 would convert to mobile format - I definitely wish they'd tried harder than this. Not even the biggest Mega Man fan would find something to like here.
