If you're looking for a cool new mobile game to play you have no reason not to get De Blob. It combines simple controls with an imaginative premise and fun gameplay - it's everything a mobile game should be. You play the title role - De Blob - and it's up to you to roll around the city painting everything.
The game's story is pretty simple, but it's fun and the gameplay matches it perfectly. As you roll around the world painting everything you see you'll come across Inkt agents you must fight as well as the peaceful inhabitants of your land. Probably the only issue I have with the game is that on occasion these two different characters look a little too similar, and if you're pressed for time while trying to get 100% of the block you're on coloured you can sometimes hastily run into an Inkt agent by accident.
De Blob is pretty long as well - it's excellent value for money. You have about levels to play through - plus the challenge of attempting to paint the entire world correctly. Some of the other gameplay elements are not well explained - like the different coloured stars you get for finishing a level - but it doesn't get in the way of having fun.
At the end of the day De Blob is a well-balanced, easy to control mobile game. It's easy to start and stop a game and immediately pick up where you left off - an essential for portable gaming. It could use a little more polish, but at the end of the day it's a fun game worth your money.
