The game's Director - Hideaki Itsuno - explained that it had been something he had dreamed of making since he was a kid - a large, open world fantasy with Greek and Roman mythological inspiration. You would fight the Hydra, Chimera and Griffin, wear metal skirts and saving the world on a grand adventure. Capcom would take what they learned from action games like Devil May Cry and add them to the burgeoning world of open world RPGs. A Monster Hunter meets Skyrim. 5112939 Diablo III Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/pc/games/title/diablo-3/reviews.php?id=5112843 With no competitive multiplayer (except for the facile concept of a 'race to the finish line'), constant network related issues and what I feel is negative movement in terms of the 'loot' metagame, Diablo 3 in its current state isn't something I see myself playing any more. I've been to Whimsyshire, I've killed Diablo and I've stayed a while to listen to Deckard Cain. It's time to move on. 5112843 Max Payne 3 Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/xbox360/games/title/max-payne-3/reviews.php?id=5112733 Max Payne 3 makes you feel like the man with a very particular set of skills. With a good story, jaw-dropping action and fantastic graphics, it's a must-experience game. It's an homage to some fantastic movies, it's a step forward for Rockstar games and it's a satisfying continuation of the Max Payne saga. 5112733 Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/xbox360/games/title/minecraft/reviews.php?id=5112725 Usability is something Minecraft has struggled with since its beginning, because it isn't designed with it in mind. The game's creator Notch clearly doesn't care about it - every update to Minecraft's usability has been at the request of its users. When 4J Studios took on the task of adapting Minecraft to the Xbox Live Arcade, the odds were stacked squarely against them - not only did they have Minecraft's complicated nature to deal with, they also had to make it work on a controller. While the Xbox 360 is undeniably strange to use, they did a truly outstanding job. 5112725 Prototype 2 Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/xbox360/games/title/prototype-2/reviews.php?id=5112421 Ultimately it's fun for a lot of the same reasons that the first game was fun - falling short by trying to rectify flaws which never really existed. Fans of the first game will enjoy the opportunity to cavort about NYC as a beefed up Carnage style character again, but it's similar enough that you could save yourself some money and just play Prototype again. 5112421 Trials Evolution Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/xbox360/games/title/trials-evolution/reviews.php?id=5112136 With an intensely addictive gameplay model - the sort usually seen in the likes of Angry Birds - and expertly created tracks and game modes, Trials Evolution is a must-buy. 5112136 Unit 13 Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/psv/games/title/unit-13/reviews.php?id=5112062 Though not without a smattering of problems with a few cover issues, inconsistent AI, character responses a little stiff at times and borderline retarded grenade mechanics Unit 13 solidly is a rock solid first-person shooter on a handheld. The controls work and feel much like a traditional console shooter with sensible non-gimmicky utilisation of the touch screen that doesn’t impinge the experience. The co-operative features are silky smooth with great voice chat and not a hint of lag and the inclusion of Daily Challenges keeps the content fresh and constantly evolving. It may not be perfect, but goddamn it’s a hell of a lot of fun. 5112062 Ridge Racer Unbounded Review http://www.gamearena.com.au/xbox360/games/title/ridge-racer-unbounded/reviews.php?id=5112060 I threw Ridge Racer Unbounded into my console with little to low (even no) expectations and was more than pleasantly surprised. This departure from the franchise is an invigorating reboot that should satisfy both racing enthusiasts and action junkies alike while the decidedly robust track creation system should have the community upping the ante for months to come. Frag, destroy, create and decimate - it’s all on the cards in Ridge Racer Unbounded. 5112060
