Star Wars Empire at War

Daa-Daa....Da-Da-Da-Daaa-Da....Da-Da-Da-Daaa-Da....Da-Da-Da-Daaaa....Ok, so that was a terrible rendition of the Star Wars theme, but who cares!! I love this game, and admittedly my overall rating of this game being so high is because of; a) I can't get enough of it; and b) I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

All that aside, while this is a great game, it is not without it's faults. For me, the most obvious problem with Star Wars: Empire At War is that you would need need a PC that is less than a year or so old, and with a decent graphics card, to see it in it's full glory. But that could be said about any latest release PC game. Even with my PC, which more than meets the requirements, I've had to pull back almost all the graphics settings to make it playable at 1024x768 resolution. I can't imagine what it would be like playing it on a PC, that just meets the minimum requirements.

That major gripe aside, and considering that the computer AI does tend to "swarm" you with a seemingly endless supply of ships/troops, Star Wars: Empire At War, is definitely worth a look. But, as with most Star Wars games, if you aren't a fan, you might be better off looking elsewhere.
