The GameArena ladders will restart tomorrow, Friday 22nd October at 12 noon. We have finally completed the integration of the ladder system into the new look and feel of the site and thanks to the great testing by the ET ladder folk, everything is go!

With that in mind, all ladders that were previously in Regulation play, will again be placed into regulation play tomorrow. All ladders that were in free-play will be placed back into free-play. Natural Selection and Desert Combat will shortly be shifting into regulation play, and its important to point out that DC will be using DC Final.

Again, thanks all for giving us the time to get the ladders integrated, and good luck to all the participants!

Unknown Worlds Entertainment has released the latest beta of Natural Selection to the general public for playtesting. The latest version of Natural Selection includes many changes and bugfixes.

All GameArena GameCreate and Public servers have been updated.

The Natural Selection ladder is about to go into Freeplay mode. Should there be an increase in activity, we'll start the ladder this coming Monday.

The GameArena Natural Selection team is proud to present RIP_Bob with a brand new Op tag, and the ability to control you all :)

Also, we're going to try another season for the ladder. There's no ETA on when it'll start, we're currently hoping beta5 will be released soon for use in it.

We've also got a poll running on the Natural Selection Messageboards about adding some AMX/Metamod modifications to the servers, these include afk kickers, status replacements, "unstuck" mods, Marine vs Marine gameplay, "Unchained Chambers", etc. Head over to the messageboards and have your say on what should be included!

We're officially cutting NS:Classic Ladder support for Natural Selection.

The lack of interest at the start of this season has forced the shutdown. The ladder has only had one confirmed challenge in the opening week, which isn't enough to justify running it.

There "may" be a Combat ladder, but for those teams who aren't interested in combat you should probably drop yourselves. We don't guaruntee there will be a Combat ladder competition either.

Sorry about this, but it's got to be done.

Season 3 of the Natural Selection ladder has just started, schedueled to run for a six week period, the ladder will finish on the 21st of September, 2004.

Noteable changes in this season are:

- Time rule eliminated, 3 rounds now used
- Penalties for clans with cheaters in them introduced
- Misc variable/wording updates for NS3
