The keys I had to work out from lack of help or text file
But a good game to play once you get the hange of it.
I had an earlier version pre mouse days over 25 years ago,
and was able to play a reasonable round using the mouse,
with some holes under and others with big mistakes in
the woods from crooked mouse shooting.
Use Arrows to navigate menus
Use Spacebar to activate menu selection
Score - S key
Arial Animation View of Flag - Up Arrow
(keep pressed till finished view)
Club selection - <, .>
Aim - Move mouse left right direction
Set Power - Left Click Hold mouse and move forward
Power Reset - let go of left mouse button
Shoot - Move mouse backward/down in a straight line
To Make a Shot
- Use up arrow to see where the Flag/hole is.
- Aim - move mouse left right
- Set Power - left click mouse and move forward
- Shoot - pull mouse backward in straight line
Space bar will skip animation if possible, ie after shot, and hole view

I am considering this game. I used to have leaderboard on Commodore 64 over 20 years ago, and it was great game for many to play at once.
There were 3 modes in that, beginner, amateur and professional.
Arrows used to aim it left or right... then the swing varied...
Beginner let you hold down the space bar to shoot. You had to press it, and second press it to stop the power meter of how hard you wanted to press it.
Other modes you had to press it extra time to effect the left right direction. (beginner went straight line from ball through + site. Other went from one side to the other and required the extra input to stop it in the centre, or to hook it in a big curve by not doing it and putting it to the side to compensate)
Hope this helps. If it does let me know and I might buy it.

I agree. This is a hopeless game. No what you try you can't the golfer to hit the ball. I'm sorry I spent the $6.95 on it. I would have thought 'bigpond' would have better quality control than this.

I am on Vista, not XP but this shouldn't be a problem. I was unable to really try the game because I could not even start to get the golfer to hit the ball.
Some keyboard things I tried were Enter, Space and just about every other key on the keyboard after that. Thinking it might have to be a mouse I came unstuck as the mouse was just locked on to the direction for the ball and that is all it would do. Right clicking the mouse also did nothing.
It seems the risk of buying the game is not worth it to see if everything might suddenly work in the paid version so for me that is never going to happen. I don't mind if a trial version comes with a readme file explaining a list of limitations which will be fixed after payment but this game is doomed to fail due to a lack of interest from the author.
