DoD Season Info...

Ok, it seems most people are at the stage of near urination in pants over the next dod gamearena season, for different reasons, some may say ;). Anyways without further ado ill post some details to give you guys a glance of rules, dates, maps etc.

1. The rules have been updated for the forthcoming season, reviewed, modified if needed, so be sure to read the rules, because some may apply to you and your team. Every aspect has been covered to prevent any shenanigans so read up (be warned that what is written in the rules is your forewarning). The rule page can be found here.

2. From there you can see that the maps that will be played this season are:

dod_anzio
dod_chemille
dod_donner
dod_harrington
dod_railroad2
dod_saints

All of which will be running of the CAL scoing system due to popular demand.

3. If you are familar with the cs ladder, you will see that there is a steamid checker that is enabled on the gc servers during a ladder season, ALL players in a clan need to have their steamid listed in their gamearena profiles to be able to play. So make sure you jot it down in there otherwise you will be unable to compete in the matches.

-------

Dates.

Starting Date. - 17th January 2005
Conclusion. - 21st March 2005.
Finals.- 2 weeks after ladder conclusion.

-------

The gamecreate servers are ready to go with the scoring and the challenge page has been modified for the map selection process. Once confirmation on a date has been set this post will be updated with all the proper dates and then we will be good to go.

Good luck and have a great season!!

GameArena Ladders Restarting!

The GameArena ladders will restart tomorrow, Friday 22nd October at 12 noon. We have finally completed the integration of the ladder system into the new look and feel of the site and thanks to the great testing by the ET ladder folk, everything is go!

With that in mind, all ladders that were previously in Regulation play, will again be placed into regulation play tomorrow. All ladders that were in free-play will be placed back into free-play. Natural Selection and Desert Combat will shortly be shifting into regulation play, and its important to point out that DC will be using DC Final.

Again, thanks all for giving us the time to get the ladders integrated, and good luck to all the participants!

Ga Premiers And Runner-ups

Well tonight to say the least was a game that no-one really could have guessed the outcome. For those that watched or listened to the game, it was one that was indeed a spectacle. Well done to the Champs pt, in proving to be the successors in another round the GameArena Season. Their prize remains from last season.

No good work is forgotten, 6r have also been given a server as runner-up thanks to the admins. We hope only good things can come from the dod community as it continues to grow.

Well done to both clans for getting through to the end, and we hope to see you next season. On behalf of the GameArena Staff, and refs gg guys. See you in GA:DoD Season 6!!
