Arma 3 Alpha starts next week

Arma 3 is leaping into Open Alpha next week, allowing simulation lunatics the opportunity to check out the island of Limnos Altis earlier than the game's Quarter 3 release. When we say Open Alpha though, it's that "Minecraft" sort of Alpha where you have to buy your way in.

Get to the helicopter! Wait. That doesn't seem right.

Starting next week if you head to the Arma 3 site you'll be able to buy your way into the Alpha via one of three options - the Alpha, Digital Deluxe Edition or the Supporter Edition, available for $31.90, $51.06 and $89.37 (converted to AUD). Alternatively, if you know someone who has purchased one of the above you could nag them for one of their Alpha Lite keys - people rocking Alpha Lite keys will have to wait until the 18th of March to play (instead of jumping in next week).

If you head to the site you can check out the minimum and recommended requirements too - it's surprisingly forgiving, but playing Arma at minimum settings is a bit depressing, so aim for the recommended settings for sure.
