SimCity Beta This Weekend - Get your keys from GameArena!

EA Australia has been wonderful enough to provide us here at GameArena with 100 beta keys for the coming beta period, and we're going to give them away. Why? Well, because that's what they're there for.

The beta period begins from Sunday 17 February at 1AM AEDT (that's 12am AEST, 12:30AM ACDT and on Saturday the 16th at 10pm for all you Western Australians) and runs for 24 hours. To use (if you get one) it you've got to have Origin installed and have an Origin account - once you've done that simply click Redeem Product Code and enter the code. It won't start downloading until the beta period begins, so it's probably worth staying awake and starting the download before you go to sleep for maximum uptime on Sunday.

Anyway, if you want a code it's very easy to get one. Simply email me, Joaby, at my email address and answer me this - "If you were a city crushing monster, what sort of monster would you be?" in 25 words or less. If you don't get a code from us, you can also get one by pre-ordering the game at JB Hifi, so there's a different avenue of attack if we run out!

Any chance the files could be zipped and uploaded to GA, Joaby?
I remember you did that with the BF3 beta, and it was awesome. I understand you might not be able to fulfill this request from outside factors of course.

The problem is the files won't go live until the beta begins, which is a Sunday. Our files guys are usually powered down on weekends to prevent killing sprees.

I said thanks via email. I assume he read it and his day improved knowing he made a difference in my life. I enjoyed the game, its sad to see the hour over when you built up a thriving city.

The game itself I'm tempted to buy it now I enjoyed it. The price for the type of game seems a bit steep. hard to justify.
