Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition coming to Australia
Ladies and gentlemen, Mortal Kombat is finally coming to Australian shelves - and it's coming with all the DLC released for the game right there in the box. Well, ok, we'll wind all this back a little. As noticed by PlayerAttack, Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition has been classified R18+ in Australia. There's no news yet on when it will actually hit Aussie shelves, and no details on what exactly it will include (in the US they scored download codes for a Mortal Kombat inspired album and the Mortal Kombat movie, but Europe just got the awesome game + DLC) - but the rating is good enough for us!
Mortal Kombat was GameArena's fighting game of 2011, and it earned more than its fair share of write-in votes for the 2012 Game of the Year Awards as well - you guys loved NetherRealms' work with the Mortal Kombat franchise when it first dropped, and it's nice to know that less savvy customers will finally get to enjoy their fine, gory work. ![]() Netherrealms' other game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, is also coming out this year, and - as detailed in our Story Mode Hands-On - it uses a similar story-telling technique as their MK game, but with a powerful approach to story by way of the fantastic depth of the DC universe... basically it's going to be a good year for fighting games.
