The Last of Us delayed to June 14th
Naughty Dog's next awesome looking game The Last of Us was originally supposed to hit shelves worldwide in May this year. Now however, it has been delayed until June, with Creative Director Neil Druckmann explaining the delay to the PlayStation Blog.
The delay is due to the best of all possible reasons - polishing. Uncharted fans attest to Naughty Dog's attention to detail and it seems The Last of Us will be no different. As Druckmann explained: As we entered the final phase of development for The Last of Us, we came to realise just how massive Joel and Ellie’s journey is. But instead of cutting corners or compromising our vision, we came to the tough decision that the game deserved a few extra weeks to ensure every detail of The Last of Us was up to Naughty Dog’s internal high standards. I'm not entirely sure how not compromising your vision is a tough decision to make, but there you have it - The Last of Us will now be available worldwide on June 14th. Which, incidentally, is one day after E3. It's going to be a busy week for gamers.
