Call of Duty AU and NZ Championship Qualifiers detailed!
If you were paying attention last Friday you will remember Andy talking on The Weekly Update about the upcoming Call of Duty Championship, which features the Black Ops 2 Million Dollar Tournament and runs from April 5th - 7th. The final events will be held in Hollywood, California, but qualifiers will be held around the world - and we now know the details of Australia and New Zealand's events.
In Australia Activision have partnered with the Australian Cyber League, who will hold a series of online qualifiers over March 2nd - 3rd. Once the online qualifiers finish, the seven best teams from Australia - and the number one team from New Zealand - earn a trip to Sydney on March 15th, where they will duke it out for a $10,000 prize pool and to see who the best teams in Australia are - with the top two being sent to LA to compete for the grand prize. Naturally all competitors must be over the age of 18 and have a passport - given the possibility of a trip to the US. You can learn more about the event over on the ACL's official site - including details on the competition rules and how you can watch the matches if you don't want to compete. Good luck to everyone competing and not competing, I don't see why competitors should get all the luck.
