Wasteland 2 shows off first gameplay video
Wasteland 2 is the follow up to Brian Fargo's excellent Wasteland - the game developed in 1988 and best known as the spiritual predecessor to the Fallout series, not the Arma 2 thing. After the developers - InXile - cleared its Kickstarter last April, gaining a massive $3 million (its goal was $900,000) they began work on the title, with musical help from Mark Morgan - the artist responsible for Fallout and Fallout 2's excellent soundtracks - and Chris Avellone's Obsidian Entertainment.
And now you can finally check it out in action. Wasteland 2 is set to launch on PC in October this year and judging by the state of it at the moment, it looks like it's well on track. In the video Director Chris Keenan shows us the Agricultural Center, displaying the highly-customizable UI, combat, player customisation and the dialogue system. Old school RPG fans are likely to wet their pants in excitement - I certainly did - because it looks fantastic. The video is embedded below - it's currently available only on Youtube so it will affect your quota, but we'll be sure to update this post once it hits our videos library.
