Aliens: Colonial Marines breaks street date
Ok, let's clear some things up first - Aliens: Colonial Marines was developed by Gearbox Software for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and was set to be released this week. Instead it broke street date on the weekend - and is now available Australia wide on both consoles - the PC version is tied to Steam, so it can't yet be played.
You might want to wait for the review though. I picked it up yesterday on Xbox 360 and while I haven't yet finished the game, that's mostly because I really don't want to keep playing. Who knows - maybe it opens up in the last third, but from what I've seen so far the single player is just an average looking corridor shooter - and as it's on Xbox 360 (and I don't have Gold) I haven't touched the mulitplayer. In other words, get away from it you *****, Game over man, game over, play five finger fillet but actually try to stab your hands, etcetera. Well, I'm not saying it's awful - I'm just saying be careful. GameArena's review for Aliens: Colonial Marines comes out tomorrow, so you won't have to wait too long - and in the meantime why not look at the extended trailer for the game embedded below? You can also watch it in our videos library of course - that's just how we roll. Have you picked up Colonial Marines already, or are you looking forward to it? Or were you previously looking forward to it, and now you are worried? Let us know in the comments below!
