The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt announced for next-gen consoles
CD Projekt RED were set to announce The Witcher 3 today, but last night the latest edition of Game Informer took some of the wind out of their sails. Nevertheless the third game in The Witcher series has now been announced - and it's looking pretty kick ass.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be completely open world, with a game world three times larger than The Witcher 2 and approximately 20% larger than Skyrim's according to CD Projekt RED. The world of Nilfgaard will feature a day/night cycle and varying weather conditions - and it will take you 40 minutes to ride across the game's three different regions - Skellige, Novigrad and No Man's Land. The third and final game in The Witcher trilogy, Wild Hunt will make use of the newly announced REDengine 3 and is expected to be available on all 'high-end platforms' in 2014. If you're looking to learn more about The Witcher 3, including the details of Geralt's sick beard, you can check out Game Informer. Are you looking forward to The Witcher 3?
