Grand Theft Auto V release date announced - 17 September!

It's time to hyperventilate kids! Rockstar today officially announced the release date for Grand Theft Auto V - and that date is the 17th of September this year. Originally planned for release in Autumn, the game has been pushed to its September release date to give it a bit more polish.

The September release date is for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game - there is still no word yet on a Wii U or PC version. GTAV will follow three separate protagonists who you can switch between on the fly, all with intertwining storylines.

I don't know about you, but I am going to go back to Los Santos this weekend I think - and play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Or maybe Vice City, which hit the PSN this week. More importantly though, I am going to hope like hell that GTAV makes its way to PC, like it should. What do you think, do you care if it is on PC? Would be nice to see the announcement of the PC version along with the PS4/720 versions.. No point in the WIi U version, it won't sell...

Knowing me, I will probably buy a console and PC version because, well, you can never have enough GTA. Have been spending some time going back and replaying the GTA series while waiting for V to release - it's ridiculous how much I loved Vice City. Would be nice to see GTA V released on a next gen console, too - I would buy the crap out of whichever next gen released it as a bundle (� la PS3 and GTA IV).

Looks likely we will be hearing about the PS4 come Feb 20. Sony released a teaser video on Youtube/twitter/facebook stating "see the future" Feb 20, 'be the first to know'..

Once they announce the PS4 we might hear some news on next-gen versions of these upcoming games..

I want a PC version because I know the mod community could do some cool stuff with the game. I'll still probably get it on console. I guess it's good though, because this will give me time to save the money for it.

What they need to do is make the PC version Co-op with the 3 characters running around helping each other. same story line as single player but when there paths meet up they can help each other out. As for console i own them but i want to push my PC to the limit like FC3 did.

Which GTA game was it where the characters spoke jibberish, and when you put the subtitles on, they were just written jibberish? Was it San Andreas? Cos I never finished that one, as it was like having someone vomit nonsense directly into my brain the whole time.
