Path of Exile Beta Client now available in the Downloads Library

Yesterday I talked about Path of Exile - a new action-RPG developed by Grinding Gear Games with a focus on items and out-Diabloing Diablo. The game entered Open Beta yesterday and is now available to anyone and everyone - and if you'd like to get in on the action you can sign up and start playing now via the official site.




Downloading the gigantic ass game client will chew into your quota and your time however - it took me a good seven hours to update yesterday due to the massive strain the servers are under - so we've grabbed the beta client and uploaded it to the downloads library, so you can download it without attributing to your cap and in a much shorter amount of time!

To get it working, sign up for the beta and download the installer - it's only a couple of MB. Run it to install the files to the correct place, but don't start downloading the game files - instead extract the files from the 7z archive (use 7-Zip or PeaZip) into the Grinding Gear Games folder in ?:\Program Files - or ?:\Program Files (x86) if you have a 64-bit OS.
