Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is Australia's third R18+ rated title

The fuzzy glow of titles getting an R18+ rating is beginning to wane, but it's hard not to still be pleasantly surprised when the new rating is put into effect. So far we have had the Wii U's brutal revamp of Ninja Gaiden 3, Spartacus' Spartacus: The game about Spartacus and now EA's co-op (or perhaps I should say... BRO-op!?) third person shooter Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel joins the list of titles deemed too much for precious young minds.

When the R18+ Classification first began being enacted, many were afraid it would effectively replace the MA15+ rating - changing nothing. That doesn't appear to be the case however, with the Classification Board giving MA15+ ratings to several titles since January 1st - Gears of War: Judgment, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, and Defiance to name a few.

Also today, the world's favourite pratfall simulator The Walking Dead has finally been submitted and rated MA15+. Telltale Games originally refused to submit it because they were certain it would not pass classification without an R18+ rating in effect. What do think? Do you see this as proof that the new system works or proof that the new system is as fickle as ever? Let us know in the comments below! High impact violence - when you go into Overkill mode every shot is like the auto shotgun Terry Crews used at the end of The Expendables - blood everywhere, limbs flying about, decapitations, all that stuff.

No post mortem death manipulation, though.

I was being tongue in cheek, but it's always nice to hear about limbs... And Machinist's capable blood flow.

... *Looks around, kinda bored.* Soooo, you guys wanna see if we can get them to make an X rating for video games? I wanna use the Wii for the REAL reason it was created.
