ArmA 3 and DayZ developers released on bail after 128 days
Bohemia Interactive developers Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar were imprisoned in Greece late last year under suspicion of espionage. Today, after 128 days of imprisonment, they have been released on bail - set at €5000 each - and are allowed to return home to Czechoslovakia. They are expected to return to Greece in the future, to face their charges - although when is not yet known.
The pair were accused of taking photos of Greece's military installations - which people originally thought they were doing in an attempt to add realism to ArmA 3 - which is set in the Greek Islands of Lemnos and Stratis. The pair later explained they were merely on a holiday - and weren't working in any capacity, claiming they were only there to enjoy the sights. Once they return to their home country they will hopefully be able to return to work on ArmA 3 and DayZ - both worked on developing the revised version of Chernarus for the standalone release and Dean Hall noted the difficulties their absence caused in his most recent update. Congratulations to Ivan and Martin and to their families - and fingers crossed everything goes well in the future.
