Bohemia Interactive developers Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar were imprisoned in Greece late last year under suspicion of espionage. Today, after 128 days of imprisonment, they have been released on bail - set at €5000 each - and are allowed to return home to Czechoslovakia. They are expected to return to Greece in the future, to face their charges - although when is not yet known.

A vehicle of some sort in ArmA 3

The pair were accused of taking photos of Greece's military installations - which people originally thought they were doing in an attempt to add realism to ArmA 3 - which is set in the Greek Islands of Lemnos and Stratis. The pair later explained they were merely on a holiday - and weren't working in any capacity, claiming they were only there to enjoy the sights.

Once they return to their home country they will hopefully be able to return to work on ArmA 3 and DayZ - both worked on developing the revised version of Chernarus for the standalone release and Dean Hall noted the difficulties their absence caused in his most recent update. Congratulations to Ivan and Martin and to their families - and fingers crossed everything goes well in the future.

I have to say, releasing suspects on bail isn't something I'd do if I suspected them of being intelligence agents. Can't see them spending too much time in prison if they do get convicted and sentenced.

The Greeks just don't want to be embarrassed over arresting some "spies" who turned out to be game devs. They'll probably just offer to drop changes in return for never ever returning to the country again.

I think what it says is that mobile artillery features in Arma 3 and that Bohemia have released some promotional images to advertise the fact.

It was all just side tracking so that all the angry people in the european union would go easy on them while they figure a way to worm their way out their mess because they have 'spies' in their country.

For once, I agree with what hoax said.

If the law says you can't take photos of military installations then you can't take photos of military installations. It's not like they make this **** up on a case by case basis.

If it's wrongful imprisonment, good luck suing the Greek Government for restitution!

Speaking of "Z"'s... What happened to War Z? Last I heard they couldn't use their name any more, then there was silence... Dead Air... Like the noise an idiot makes just before he gives up on making a game designed to rip off another game and steal someones money.
