Updated!: Watch CD Projekt RED's first teaser for Cyberpunk 2077, due 2015
CD Projekt RED - the developers behind the successful Witcher series of RPGs - announced their next title Cyberpunk 2077 back in May last year. And today they have released the first teaser trailer for the game along with a smattering of details about the title, which is expected to be available in 2015 - or 'when it's done' - whichever comes first.
The game will be an open world, non-linear RPG with a focus on story and - as you might expect from the makers of The Witcher games - consequences for your actions. The teaser trailer centres on the Psycho Squad - a division of the police dedicated to taking down cyborgs whose cybernetic implants have taken over their hosts bodies, causing massive amounts of carnage - as they recruit a new member. You can watch the trailer embedded below or in our videos library - going full screen for HD of course. What do you think, does Cyberpunk 2077 look like something you might be interested in? Let us know in the comments below! Update: As spotted by Gematsu, those incredibly keen eyed devils at NeoGAF, the teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't just tease ultra-violence in a futuristic setting. A single frame of the video near the 2 minutes and 14 mark displays some interesting text discussing their next prject, which the teaser explains will be announced on the 5th of February: And that’s not all that’s new. We are about to reveal our other project, which is much closer to being completed. And yes, it will also be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we’re talking about. ;-) On the 5th of February it will all be clear. So, the third title in The Witcher series! Who has two thumbs and is excited? This guy! (I am pointing at myself, you can't see it.)
