Tera going Free to Play next month
Tera, the Korean style action-mmo, will go free-to-play in February it was announced today, letting everyone get their sexy-lady-in-a-completely-inappropriate-battle-dress on without restriction. Tera joins the likes of Star Wars: The Old Republic and Champions Online in the move from the subscription model to f2p, giving bonuses to paying players as opposed to taking stuff away from free players.
Premium players - or 'Elite' as they are known in Tera - get extra dungeon rewards, bonus quests, daily bonus items and boosts, an elite mount, discounts in the in-game store and other benefits. $14.99 buys you 30 days of Elite status and those who were playing the game before the new model comes in will gain bonuses as well - including extra character and bank slots, an exclusive mount and Founder status. Free players can buy most of the Elite status items through the in game store, although it obviously won't be as cheap as for paying players with their discount. You can learn more about it via The official FAQ. If you're wondering whether Tera might be worth jumping into once it goes f2p in February (the exact date is not yet known) embedded below is Junglist's 5 Inch Floppy covering the game from May last year, which you can also check out in our videos library. I might give Tera a shot once it changes models, how about you? Let us know in the comments below!
