Nintendo Direct round up - Wii U and 3DS games aplenty
Nintendo Direct is Nintendo's semi-regular series of videos explaining what is coming soon from the beloved console and games developer and a new one is now out following last week's release of the Wii U. This time it covers a selection of the upcoming titles for the Wii U and 3DS in the upcoming months!
This time the Nintendo Direct kicked off with a LEGO Iwata discussing LEGO City Undercover - the open world adventure title coming exclusively to the Wii U. LEGO City Undercover is set to release early next year and LEGO have announced they will be releasing tie in LEGO products with special codes to give you access to exclusive DLC in the game. You can watch the trailer embedded below or in our videos library - and read on for more info from the event! LEGO City Undercover was followed by several currently available Wii U titles - Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, Mass Effect 3, FIFA 13. Those were followed by Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge, which has not yet been given a release date in Australia and Scribblenauts Unlimited - out now on both Wii U and (with some screwing around) on PC.
Ok this next bit I don't have a video for, but you can watch it on Youtube right here. (metered content) If you are at work or for some reason don't want your primitive understanding and concept of the universe shattered to pieces, it is President and CEO of Nintendo Satoru Iwata singing Call Me Maybe. I feel like I am trapped in a HP Lovecraft novel. Moving on, the next two titles shown in the presentation were eShop titles - Little Inferno and Chasing Aurora. Both are available now on the Wii U's eShop (and Little Inferno is available on Steam.) The Wii U section of the event wrapped up with the greatly anticipated Pikmin 3, coming to Wii U in Quarter 2 of 2013 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, due in March 2013.
The 3DS line up (which we sadly don't have videos for) included Animal Crossing - due quarter 2 2013 and Paper Mario Sticker Star - due later this month. Luigi's Mansion 2 and Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training, Castlevania Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate were also discussed - all are due out in March 2013. Several eShop titles were also explained too - Harmoknight, Picross e2, Tokyo Crash Mobs and Hydroventure: Spin Cycle. Finally, the presentation finished up with Fire Emblem: Awakening, due out in April 2013. It's looking pretty good for Nintendo games in the coming months, are there any games you are particularly looking forward to? Personally I'm most keen to play the aforementioned Fire Emblem - it looks outstanding. How about you? Let us know in the comments below!
