Nintendo Land and Tank! Tank! Tank! reviewed, more to come!
Nintendo's latest console hit on Friday and we have been busily tearing into everything Wii U since getting our hands on it. Today we see some of the fruits of that labour, with Frigus Purga's reviews of Nintendo Land and Tank! Tank! Tank! arriving! You can look forward to more reviews as the week continues, culminating with a look at the console itself once we've had a chance to really submerse ourselves in it. For now though, let's see what Frigus has to say about Nintendo Land:
When the Wii U is online, Nintendo Lands’ Plaza is populated with profiles of other players in the form of Miis from across the Nintendo Network (Xbox Live and PSN for the Wii U). It’s here that Nintendo Land comes alive. Visiting Miis meander about the Plaza, silently sharing their contentions via thought bubbles above their heads. Through these chance encounters it is possible to connect with random players and add new friends, however it is disappointing that there is no online play available for Nintendoland, especially since some of the best games can’t be played unless there are at least two players on the one console. It sounds like Nintendo are getting a handle of this whole internet dealy! How are the various games themselves though? Who knows? The Review Knows! Frigus didn't stop at Nintendo Land however, also checking out Namco Bandai's Arcade smash Tank! Tank! Tank! - ported to the Wii U for the console launch: Tank! Tank! Tank! is made for multiplayer, Team Death Match and Free For All are great, if obvious inclusions and are accompanied by Monster Battles (replay major boss fights from the single player campaign with four friends) and My Kong, where the player with the gamepad assumes control of a Kong mech from the game. The gamepads camera is used to superimpose the players face (or anything, really) onto the face of the mega gorilla. A mega gorilla? Sounds like one of those deep philosophical titles. Read the review for more info! As I mentioned earlier, we'll have more Wii U reviews coming later in the week - but for now, what do you think of Nintendo Land and Tank! Tank! Tank!?
