Far Cry 3 + Minecraft = Yes

Far Cry 3's release date is drawing closer, but for those who absolutely can't wait to check out the mysterious islands of the game Ubisoft have announced something which might pique your interest. Namely a new and free Far Cry 3 pack for Minecraft, which will be available for download on October 26th.




The pack modifies Minecraft to include weapons, tools, textures and a new map based on Far Cry 3's map, allowing Minecraft players to explore the tropical locations of Far Cry 3's island setting. Players will also meet characters from the game like Jason, Vaas and Citra and Ubisoft have said there are over 50 secret easter eggs hidden throughout the map for people to find.

I have to say, this is probably the coolest and most unique PR stunt I've seen anyone pull off in a while and I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the map next week. Not as much as I am looking forward to Far Cry 3 - after Joaby's latest hands on I am dying to run over a condor too - but I'll definitely be checking it out. How about you?
