Joel Bylos takes over as new Game Director for The Secret World
The Secret World has had a bit of a rocky time since I finished my fourth week in it, which is a pity as it's released some excellent post launch content. Things are set to change however, with Funcom announcing that Aussie Joel Bylos - the former Lead Content Designer - is taking over as Game Director. Ragnar Tørnquist, the mind behind The Longest Journey series and Creative Director on The Secret World explained:
"Joel and I have worked together for many years, and I cannot think of anyone more suited to maintain the vision and lead the game going forward than him. I look forward to continue working with Joel on bringing the game forward through many, exciting post-launch updates, and I especially look forward to spending more time expanding on what I truly enjoy the most about The Secret World: the story, characters and the setting itself." Post launch content is called 'Issues' The Secret World - comic book issues, not as in problems - and the developers are currently wrapping up Issue 3 - The Cat God, which will see a devastated New York City ravaged by a monstrous entity, with players tasked with battling it in the streets of Times Square. Are you still playing The Secret World, or are you going to wait for the inevitable F2P shift? Let us know in the comments below!
