Borderlands 2's latest mini-game picks at Curiosity
Gearbox seem to have a neverending supply of meta-support for Borderlands 2, set to be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC next week. We saw The Border Lands first, then they revealed the Skill Tree Calculator and now today they have released Mount Jackmore - a browser based game in which you - and everyone else - shoot a sculpted figure of Handsome Jack to win fabulous prizes. The best part though, is that it's open to Australian residents! US citizens can't win anything, but we can - the world has gone topsy-turvy!
Every person who plays does some damage to the sculpture and the person who shoots a part of the sculpture once it turns golden will receive a prize. When you play you can actually see others taking their shots, represented by the sparks of bullets hitting stone. If this all sounds kind of familiar, it's only because it is - Mount Jackmore is a DLC-free, hype-free version of Peter Molyneux's upcoming 'social experiment' Curiosity - except you actually have a chance at winning something in this. Maybe though, the final shot will reveal a magical and life changing secret in Mount Jackmore too - like Claptrap is God or something. You can take your 100 shots (more if you invite friends via Facebook or email) via the official site - I'm hoping to win one of those sweet canvas bags.
