Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PC Specs revealed
We draw ever nearer to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's November release date and as spotted by those handsome fellows at Ausgamers, a post on the official forums has given us a look at Treyarch's minimum recommendations for the PC version:
Treyarch explain that the PC version of Black Ops 2 will have a host of improvements over the console version thanks to the implementation of DirectX 11, which brings with it new lighting, shadows, ambient occlusion and anti-aliasing capabilities. They don't specifically say there will be advanced tessellation, but I bet Black Ops 2 has that stuff, DirectX 11 is all about tessellation. The bad news is this does mean those of you still running Windows XP will need to upgrade - While some funky tricks managed to get DirectX 10 working on XP, no such luck is to be had (to my knowledge) for DirectX 11. Treyarch seem to be putting serious effort into the PC version of Black Ops 2 what with this and the previously announced dedicated servers, so will you be grabbing the next Call of Duty on the PC or sticking with the console version?
