Junglist is back boys and girls, with another episode of the 5 Inch Floppy! This week Junglist goes back to his Game of the Year (and mine) - now available on the PC. He gives us a look at the differences between the PC and console versions and gives us a look at what comes with the Artorias Of The Abyss additional DLC that is a part of the PC version - and is coming to consoles in October.

You can watch the 5 Inch Floppy embedded below or in our videos library - going full screen for HD of course. And if you're looking for the PC fixes he mentioned in the video, you can get them along with more of your Junglist fix by checking out the 5 Inch Floppy on Facebook and the 5 Inch Floppy Blog!

As a side note, I liked Junglist's hair back when he did the first Dark Souls video.

The new content looks fabulous and it sounds like DLC done right. I just wish they had plans for more of it.

Oh well. Borderlands II will tide me over until it comes out :)

I assume Jung used a controller, since in the video he isn't complaining about a sore hand from when he punched a wall in frustration. Retailers should have a big warning sticker on the box that says "If you don't have a PC compatible gamepad, don't even bother."

Yep, definitely a gamepad. Though if you've got a PS3, it's pretty easy with MotioninJoy. No reason not to.

Well they already stated they had no plans for DLC so we're lucky to be getting what we are, really. Although from what I can tell the new content is basically planned and canned content that didn't get finished in time for the initial release and only ever saw this release because of the late PC port that came out of nowhere. And FROM have a history of not injecting new content into a game that could have 'easily' supported it (ie the final World stone in Demons' Souls) no matter how much people screamed for it :)

Then again, they screamed for a PC port and they got one, so maybe they just didn't scream loud enough the first time.

I just hope this DLC sees enough purchases to send FROM a clear message that we are more than willing to reward them for releasing quality content and their view of 'we like to release complete games' sways to 'we like to enhance our complete games'.

Yep, I hope they get that message as well Hotcakes. I think so many people would be happy to go even further than that too, if only there were merchandise available.

But as much as I would have creamed over visiting the Final World in a DLC pack, I absolutely love that they do stuff like that. It's another great example of telling a story through level design. As you learn how the stones work and the lore behind them, you can only wonder what happened in that final world that was so bad.

I have had this game for ages but am yet to fire it up.. I know you have to invest a lot of time in the game to get the most out of it and I'm not sure I have that time.. I have a lot of games that I haven't played yet (Dead Space 1&2, Deus EX HR, Fallout 3&NV, Kingdoms of Amalur, Portal 2 etc etc) so I keep putting this one off..

Portal 2 would probably be a better choice if you only have short spurts of time at your disposal. That said, Dark Souls autosaves after nearly every action you take, so it's not about losing progress, it's about having the time to hone your skills. If you can only play in short bursts you probably won't get enough practise in and end up switching it off whenever you die.
