Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC announced
Bethesda have announced the second DLC pack for Skyrim today, with this one being Hearthfire - and something different to Dawnguard's story and quest additions - as it gives you the ability to build and design a house in Skyrim and adopt children to raise as your own. You can build your home in three different locations - the salt marshes of Hjaalmarch, the forests of Falkreath, or the vast tundra of The Pale - and you can build more than one home if you choose - and have plenty of cash. Each house will be modifiable in a variety of ways - adding an Armoury, towers for Alchemy and Enchanting, kitchens and stables and a host of other possibilities.
As with Dawnguard, Hearthfire will be available on the Xbox 360 for 400 Microsoft Points and will be available on September 4th - and currently there is no mention of PC or PlayStation 3 versions. Of course, if you're on the PC you can find a large variety of mods to give you the same functionality - like the very popular Build Your Own Home mod, but if you're playing Skyrim on the PS3 you'll just have to wait and pray. Embedded below is the trailer for Hearthfire, which you can also watch in our videos library - going full screen for HD of course. What do you think of the Hearthfire DLC? Dawnguard was kind of disappointing - especially given its price point, but 400MSP is a much more reasonable figure. Will you be getting this for the 360 version of Skyrim, or whenever it comes out for other systems? Let us know in the comments below!
