Guild Wars 2 suffers start-up issues
The 3-day headstart for Guild Wars 2 kicked off on the weekend and while many of those who pre-purchased the game have been having a lot of fun, others have not. As is almost always expected of MMO games, it has suffered some serious issues as it gets its feet and deals with the influx of new players. While some users had problems actually getting into the game (like Joaby) the majority of issues centred around guild management and the Trading Post - which controls both the in-game store and Guild Wars 2's Auction House.
ArenaNet are of course, working hard to get all of the problems under control ahead of Guild Wars 2's official launch tomorrow, although it wouldn't be too surprising if the pre-order head-start (beginning tonight at 5pm AEST) exacerbated the issue further. Currently you can check out the Guild Wars 2 Support for more information on errors - and while it would be nice if ArenaNet had some method of notifying players in game, you should currently check out the official Twitter account and Facebook page for notices. Did you manage to get into the head start, or are you looking forward to getting in tonight or tomorrow? What server did you choose? Sea of Sorrows - the unofficial Australian server - or somewhere else? Let us know in the comments below!
