Spec Ops: The Line updates to include Co-op

Some people didn't care for Spec Ops: The Line. Joaby, for example, did not care for Spec Ops: The Line. In fact, he really didn't care for it. Others however, feel like it was the world's greatest video game, a subversive experience designed to make the player look at why and how they play military action based games. It has inspired art, videos - even a book. And now you can play it with your friend!




Yes, 2K announced today that the game has received a free update - released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (word is the PC update is live already, but you will have to wait for the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network to update later today if you want to play the game on the consoles.) Now you can run about Dubai shooting maniacally at soldiers with a buddy, with Yager introducing 4 new co-op maps, each with their own objectives and playable characters - with an emphasis on teamwork. It's always nice to see a game get some free after-sales support like this - what do you think?
