Tokyo Jungle release date announced: September 26th
After E3, Joaby and I were talking about games. We talked about everything, especially the big hits - Far Cry 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Assassin's Creed 3 and the like. Excitedly, he also told me he'd played Tokyo Jungle. 'The game where you're a dog and you have to fight lions across a barren Tokyo?' He nodded yes and I laughed - another crazy Japanese game. 'What was that like then?' I asked - expecting he would laugh, tell me it was madness and we would move on. Instead, he was silent. Quietly, as if he didn't quite understand what he was saying - or if he was even allowed to say it, he told me 'I think it might be my Game of E3.'
You can read all about his experiences with Tokyo Jungle in his hands on - and you should, it's an excellent read. Then we can all wish it was September already - specifically September 26th when Tokyo Jungle hits the PlayStation Network for the grand price of $19.95 AUD! The game comes with over 50 playable animals and features two different modes - Story Mode, where you play as specific animals along a campaign and Survival Mode in which you choose an animal and attempt to survive and live in the torn down city, unlocking other animals and costumes along the way. Embedded below is the Gamescom trailer for Tokyo Jungle, which you can also watch in our videos library - going full screen for HD of course! Which animal are you going to play as? Those baby chicks look freaking adorable, like I want to punch something adorable. How about you? Let us know in the comments below!
