WoW opens playable races to all

World of Warcraft has seen subscription numbers dropping over the past couple of months and it looks like Blizzard are hoping to stem that tide, given their announcement on Saturday. In a post on the official blog, Blizzard announced that as of Patch 5.0.4 all of the races will be available to all players, regardless of which expansion packs they own.

All of the races includes the Pandaren, who will join the world once the Mists of Pandaria expansion releases on September 25th - joining the ranks of worgen, draenei and other assorted races currently populating the MMO. In other WoW news, Blizzard also released the opening cinematic for the Mists of Pandaria expansion - and in true Blizzard style it looks outstanding.
