Planetside 2 to get an Aussie server?

Ok, I know, Twitter isn't the most reliable place to source of information. Still, the idea that this has a high percentage possibility of being true is simply too exciting for me to let slide - those crafty devils at Games.On.Net managed to get their eyes on a tweet from Sony Online Entertainment's President, John Smedley, stating that they planned to simply "bite the bullet" and put Planetside 2 servers down under.

I storified the exchange because it makes it all look like real news.



I don't know if I possess the words to describe how excited I am for Planetside 2 to come to Australia. The game looks amazing, and I've been deliberately shying away from it to save myself unnecessary heartache - it looks like it's time to start getting hyped.

Naturally I'm looking to get in touch with SOE for confirmation, and I will update this story with more details as I get them. For now watch the Ground Assault on Tech Plant trailer to kill some time.
