This week on The Day Zed Show we're joined by Phyaran and Hardy on a classic road trip. We're heading from Stary Sobor to Berezhino to get Hardy some antibiotics, and we're discussing everything from choosing spawn points to getting lost along the way.

I like this, but I can't help but notice that the GAP has stopped appearing. Did you guys ditch it for Day Zed?

Nah mate, just a weird coincidence. The GAP will be back at the same time next week. I was pretty sick all this week, but we recorded the Day Zed Show on the Friday prior so we had it in reserve before I lost my voice :P

One day I hope to be on an Ep of the Day Z show... I suspect the ep will end with me trying to duck under a street sign like you did in this ep, only to suddenly explode into broken limbs and blood... :(

People don't gib like Quake in the ARMA2 engine, but otherwise that is a distinct possibility. I remember many an hour playing the vanilla game and being paranoid about not touching any objects in the world lest I die.

It was a running forum joke, hoax. :) In dayz, my most common form of death thus far has been being ripped apart by stair cases, crushed into a puddle of goop by doors, flung into the earth with bone snapping velocity by trees and ruined by rubble. Attempting to surmount any of these things seems to cause instant broken bones and bleeding in my character, often robbing him of about 85% of his health instantly as well... Being mauled by a lion is less deadly then a house to me. :(

Ohhh, I dunno. Compared to driving the wrong direction and coughing, I think a lesson about the dangers of doors is a real step up. :D
