Total War: Rome II crossing the Rubicon 2013
Rumours recently abounded that Creative Assembly were working on a new Total War game - Rome II to be precise. And now those rumours can be laid to rest, as Creative Assembly today confirmed that they are indeed making a sequel to that incredibly popular entry in the series. The emphasis for Rome II will be bigger and better - with Creative Assembly 'ready to set another benchmark in gaming.' Said Creative Director Mike Simpson:
"Our games have always encompassed a grand vision. But we’re now pushing that vision at both ends of the spectrum. From the immense reach of the sandbox campaign right down to the human-level drama of a single warrior on the battlefield, we’re aiming for an unprecedented level of detail and scale.” Which sounds pretty exciting. Maybe this time around they can make it work on dual monitors like the 7 year old Civilization IV can. Embedded below is the debut trailer - a ridiculous live-action affair currently only apparently available through those dapper boys and girls at IGN. As a Youtube trailer, it's metered content for Bigpond users - but I'll be sure to update the post when it hits our videos library. Are you looking forward to Rome II? What is your favourite Total War game so far, or are you not a fan of the series? Let us know in the comments below!
