Mass Effect 3 'Extended Cut' DLC now available
Ahh, Mass Effect 3. Remember when it launched and it seemed like everyone was out for blood? Some people wanted to burn down Bioware for the ending. Some people wanted to burn down those people for wanting to change the ending. And I wanted to burn down everything everywhere. We even had three outstanding pieces up on GameArena explaining the situation - one by Rohan, one by Junglist and one by Joaby.
Nevertheless, Bioware decided to add to the ending - announcing an extended cut which would hopefully bring fans some resolution. And now it's here! On the PC and Xbox 360 at least. You can grab the Extended Cut DLC by clicking the little 'i' underneath the game in Origin, then going to 'Shop for Addons' - it will be there listed with the other Mass Effect 3 DLC, so go ahead and grab it. If you played the game on the Xbox 360, you can add it either it to your download queue here. The European (and Australian) PlayStation 3 version is unfortunately delayed until July 4th - although if you have a US PSN account it is in fact available today. Presumably we in Australia have to wait so a bunch of people half way across the world can play the game in their native tongue - as usual. Bioware have noted that if you want to experience everything the DLC adds you'll need to play at least two missions prior to the ending, although reports suggest you can use saves after that if you only want to see 'the ending'. Are you going to check out the Extended Cut DLC, or have you already? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
