Okami HD coming to PS3 this Spring
Magical god-wolf fans rejoice! Okami - the sumi-e style painting-action game in which you play Amaterasu, sun goddess of Shintoism - is getting a HD remastered version with Move support coming to the PlayStation Network. The re-release will be released in Japan in November and in North America in 'Fall' - given Capcom's penchant for HD remasters, we can no doubt expect it out this way at around the same time.
Okami was originally released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2007, with a Wii version following in 2008. Beloved by critics, it didn't perform particularly well with the public - which is a shame, because it's a lot of fun. The play-style was likened to the Legend of Zelda games, with the addition of the brush mechanic - pausing the game and bringing up a painting of the view, in which you could draw and add to the environment to solve puzzles and fight enemies. Have you played Okami? Are you going to grab the re-release when it hits? Let us know in the comments below! |
