The Elder Scrolls Online Announced!
While mods have allowed people to play about in Tamriel with a buddy since the days of Morrowind, the experience has always been a little underwhelming. Those days will soon be over however, with Bethesda announcing The Elder Scrolls Online.
Not a huge amount is known about the game at the moment, with a cover story going to Game Informer in June. Development is headed up by Matt Firor, best known for his outstanding work on Dark Age of Camelot. Said Firor of the game: We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted. It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made – and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise. What would you want to see in an Elder Scrolls MMO? The possibilities are limitless. And yet I bet 90% of every conversation in the inevitable open beta will be about arrows to the knee, or what horrible creatures mudcrabs are. Well, bye.
