It's finally official - we just got word that Microsoft's arm-waving family fun device, the Kinect, will cost $199 AUD when it hits Australian shelves. It will come bundled with Kinect Adventures so you've got something to wave at when you bust it from the box.
There will also be a bundle for $449, including the 4GB Slim Kinect Sensor and Kinect Adventures game. David McLean, the big cheese at Xbox Australia said in the press release, Kinect offers tremendous entertainment value for the whole family and those who are new to video games – with nothing in your hands and no buttons to press. If you can do it in life, you can do it with Kinect. Does anyone else want them to make a Kinect game where you have to pick up and play a game with a controller? Maybe they could make the Xbox Live Arcade Room a Kinect enabled experience, so I can stand in front of my TV and play games like I was really at an arcade playing games. Anyway, how do you feel about the price? Too high, too low? Bang on? Kreese discussed analyst's views on the subject yesterday - what do you think?
