It seems piracy is almost old news nowadays - YouTube punters posting videogame spoilers are the real new villains.

BioShock 2 is the latest victim - a punter's posted the ending of the game online, which in a title like BioShock 2 is a considerably inconsiderable move with the potential to give sales a hit.

Apparently 2K's legal team has been busy issuing takedown notices, and moreover creative director Jordan Thomas told press punters who had seen the footage probably wouldn't be able to make much sense out of it, as it's lacking in context.

Even so, you wouldn't want to be busted putting that up - especially ahead of release. Might lead to all kinds of uncomfortable questions. If Activision can get Modern Warfare 2 pirates locked up with rapists and murderers, we're pretty sure 2K can at least bankrupt someone who damages their IPs ahead of launch.

Finished the game this morning (at 5:30am) - I'd be very surprised if anyone figured everything out based on whatever was uploaded.

And there's more than one ending, so that wouldn't help at all.

serriously you should have to pay to post things on youtube.. it would stop people attempting to spoil endings of games.. puting up cat comps and stupid rick roll videos

Man I couldnt STAND the first one, hell no am I buying the second...
Level after level of the same fkn thing, get some powers > kill a daddy > rape the girl.

Repeat.

Edit: Im so waiting to get flamed on this due to me only actually playing like 3 levels LOL... I got too bored too fast... fail game.

Nah, as I pointed out in the review - BS2 isn't going to convert any haters. Just remind the fans why they're fans.

I think the first Bioshock was overpraised sure the theme is great but the gameplay itself is bland and uninspiriing, Bioshock 2 is about half the length of the first one and half the time I forgot I even was a Bigdaddy from the fact you do virtually everything you did in the first game again (kill other big daddies, kill children). Also hardly any new or interesting weapons/plasmids and don't even try to argue the .50 cal is new because it's just the exact same machine gun with a different model you had in the first one, even has the same ammo modifiers.

I still think when they worked on System Shock 2 was when they peaked.

Bioshock was ok, tho both endings were poor. I'm having images that bioshock 2 will end up being the same

how stupid... if you're that sad that seeing a video of the end of the game substitutes for the act of completing the game yourself, you were probably never going to fork out the money for it anyway. It's not like people are being forced to watch it- clockwork orange style...
