Valve sends word that the promised Xbox 360 update for The Orange Box has now been released, available as an automatic download next time you load the game while connected to Xbox Live. This one looks to be squarely aimed at Team Fortress 2, addressing its lackluster netcode to hopefully make things a bit more playable.

It's no local dedicated server but we've had a quick test of things here and it seems to be a lot smoother than it was. If you'd wrote TF2 Xbox 360 online play off because of lag, definitely give it another shot after installing this one.

which brings to my attention, why do people pay for a subscription online gaming service that has no dedicated server support

why do u care about dedicated server support, we live in australia so it would just be gay for us because all the servers would be in the US

Because GameArena could then host dedicated servers for the console users!

hmm yes that would be good, i dont normaly have any lag but a better connection is always good
