Tony Hawk's Proving Ground Soundtrack

The Tony Hawks Skateboarding game franchise has always been known for its culture-appropriate licensed soundtracks and the next addition looks to be no different in that regard, Activision today announcing the complete set-list for Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.

Among the 50 odd titles are arists such as At the Gates, Beastie Boys, Darkest Hour, Nirvana, The Clash as well as the Foo Fighters new single The Pretender. Complete listing in the following press release:

Sydney, Australia - August 28, 2007 - This October, Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) is bringing the sounds of skate culture to life like never before in Tony Hawk's Proving Ground -- the deepest, most customizable skateboarding game ever. Featuring over 50 tracks including "The Pretender," the first single from the Foo Fighters' forthcoming album and popular anthems from Nirvana, Bloc Party, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, The Rolling Stones, and many more, players will be able to create their personal skate legacy to the songs that have fuelled today's skateboarding culture. Additionally, MCA of the Beastie Boys makes an appearance in the game as a secret unlockable character.

Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is scheduled to be available this spring and is in development by Neversoft Entertainment for the Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system and is rated "M" (Moderate violence and coarse language; Themes and sexual references) by the OFLC. The WiiTM home video game system and PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system versions are being developed by Page 44 Studios and are also rated "M" (Moderate violence and coarse language; Themes and sexual references) by the OFLC. The Nintendo DSTM version is being developed by Vicarious Visions and is rated "PG" (Mild violence, Coarse language).
