Ubisoft Announces Nitrobike Exclusively for Wii wii

After the uber-successful outing that was Excite Truck for Wii, Ubisoft has snapped up ex-Ninty second-party, Left Field Productions (who brought us Excitebike 64), to offer up the exclusive Wii Motocross outing Nitrobike.

Nitrobike will be published and distributed by Ubisoft this November 2007. Players will navigate rocket-propelled motorcycles in this arcade-style game. Players can choose to race against the clock or against worthy opponents in Nitrobike�s exciting multiplayer game mode and unique online mode.
"Ubisoft is thrilled to be introducing the first Motocross game available for Wii," said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. "Nitrobike's fun and fast-paced gameplay is sure to be a hit for Wii owners."

Another fast-paced Wii-specific racing game controlled in much the same way we played Excite Truck would only be a welcome addition to the Wii's slow-growing library of titles heading toward the holiday season.

is this sarcasm or serious? I honestly havn't heard anyone talk about this game at all, negative or positive and it never seems to be in the list of games people recommend.

Is it worth giving a shot, or is it fairly average?

well, I thought it was a pretty top effort, and I'm pretty sure it did well on teh N64 (though it wasn't too hard at that point in the console's life to do well as it was a bit of a dry spell)

Excite truck was the other game that Nintendo made with Zelda and Wiisports/play. The game was delayed in Australia long enough which is why the game wasn't known to us. Other regions got Excite truck on launch day. Infact Australia missed out atleast a couple of launch games. Some which were indeed worth a purchase

Excite Truck was a fair amount of fun multiplayer.

I don't know if this one would be worth a purchase if you already had Excite Truck though. I guess time will tell though.
