BLACK is such an awsome game, I had it on pre-order for like 2 months and was dying to finally pick it up last week when it came out. I have it on PS2 and this game has to be one of the best looking games around on current gen systems.

Sound is good
Graphics are nice (cmon , its xbox) ....but after shooting piles upon piles of bad guys...u want something more.

Its a good bit of fun. But nothing amazing or ground breaking.
Doom 3,HL2, BF2, FEAR.... Most of the current and upcoming fps on the pc are 50 times better.

I'd been waiting for this game to come out for about two years, ever since I first read about it.
Had it on pre-order as soon as I could.
Received it and played it through in about 10 hours on hardest difficulty. It's definately the most fun I've had on a console FPS in a long time. The sound and music is beautiful, the stage designs are great and the last section of the game was the most intense experience I've had in a long time with a game.

Considering I own both Dooom 3 and FEAR and still havn't finnished them. I must say that I enjoy Black alot more then those two games. It's great mindless exploding fun. Doom 3 and FEAR got the atmosphere done perfectly however and FEAR's AI is sheer brilliance.
Half Life 2 is way better then Black of course, because it's Half Life2.
As for Battlefield 2, it's a bit unfair to compare an online multiplayer game with an offline single player game. Compare Battlefields single player campaign however and Black blows it to chunks.

You can skip cutscenes if you have previously finished the level.

Bought the game the other day, played it for 20 mins then got sick of it, so I returned it back to EB games the next day :P

I have no idea why I bought it, as i'm not much of a fan of console FPS, I guess the pretty graphics made me feel sqiushy inside. lol

I just wish it was on PC ...

I came pretty close to buying this but then I remembered that I suck at fps games on consoles. :(

love the way it was told. bit too short, i would prefer shorter but more missions. wickid replay value.

a Q for someone who has played it though:
howcome when you get your results at the end of each mission (kills etc), mine didnt show any damage? is it coz you have to do it in hard or something? coz i completed it on normal...

just a useless peice of information: i was playing burnout last night and on the loading screens before you start a race, where it shows different cars you can unlock and places to get signature takedowns, one of the cars shown is a black one, with bullet holes sprayed over the car and 'BLACK' written on the side... o0oo0o
